MIDTERM MOMENTUM
The election calendar is finally starting to wake up.
We’ve been stuck in that awkward stretch where there are markets to watch, but not many that are screaming “buy me.” That’s about to change.
On today’s Predictable, we looked ahead at the next wave of primary elections. South Dakota, Michigan, Kansas and several others to see where the best opportunities might be before everyone else piles in. Sometimes the best trade isn’t finding the obvious winner. Sometimes it’s knowing which race to avoid altogether.
ACCOUNTABILITY
We also brought back another Predictable Postmortem, where Dan Andros joined me to review a couple of my recent misses.
Yes, I finally admitted defeat on the Jalen Brunson NBA 2K cover market. While my position may have lost, I can still sleep well knowing I would’ve made a better decision than whoever failed to choose the Finals MVP for the game cover athlete.
And because no episode is complete without wandering off the rails for a few minutes, we somehow ended up talking about LeBron James, Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and why the WNBA seems determined to make life harder for itself.
If you’re trying to get ahead of the August election calendar, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
